Yes. MUJ is an annual open-access journal. All published articles are free to read, link to, copy, print, search and distribute without charge and without looking for permission from the publishers or authors.
We publish papers on social sciences and natural sciences as multidiscipline topics, with a focus on Somalia issues as well as Africa and the world.
Articles are published in English and Arabic, the two main languages of MUJ publications.
Follow the Submission Preparation Checklist and the Author Guidelines: Word format, single-column layout, an abstract of 150–250 words with 5–7 keywords, 4000–8000 words including references, and APA citation style.
When MUJ receives an article, a confirmation e-mail is sent to the author. All articles are checked for plagiarism and peer-reviewed by two reviewers. Reviewers will not know author details and remain unidentified to the author. See the Review Policy.
Within four weeks after the submission, the author will receive an e-mail notification whether the article has been accepted or rejected.
MUJ has a policy of “Zero Tolerance on Plagiarism”. If plagiarism or duplication is detected, the paper will be immediately rejected; if detected after publication, the editors may issue a correction or retract the paper.
After publication of the paper both MU journal and the author have a full right to reuse it in any form with an acknowledgement of initial publication in this journal.
Use the Research page to search all volumes by title, author or DOI and filter by volume, year and language.
